The second generation of the Sirion is a small five-door Daihatsu which was designed specifically with the European market in mind.
Apart from Sirion, it’s now also manufactured under the name of Daihatsu Boon, Toyota Passo and the Subaru Justy, which was launched in 2007. Since 2005, Perodua has also launched a Malaysian version of the Sirion called Myvi. Both of its engines were kept from the previous generation: a small one-liter three cylinder and a 1.3 liter four cylinder taken straight out of the Toyota Yaris/Vitz. It has two transmission available, a five speed manual and a four speed automatic.
