The small and funkily designed MiTo reminded us of the Alfa’s 8C.
The great styling made the MiTo look more like a premium product with the chrome accents and the unique Alfa’s characteristic alloys.
The MiTo strongest rival was the BMW’s mini, thus Alfa had to equip the small vehicle with at least great technology, besides the beautiful design.
The interior was built with great attention to details, and even if lots of plastic surfaces were used, they had a good finish and looked well.
The cabin was also customisable, users having the option to add an assorted dashboard, and different upholstery finishes, as well as various trims available for both the headlamps and the taillights surrounds.
The MiTo came with a variety of engine options to choose from: a 1.4-liter with 95 hp, a 1.4 turbodiesel with 120 hp and 155 hp and two Diesel engines, a 1.3 JTDM with 90 hp, respectively, a 1.6-liter JTDM with 120 hp.
Safety wise, the MiTo was equipped with ABS, Anti Slip Regulation and Brake Assistant (all part of the Alfa’s Vehicle Dynamic Control system). Driver, passenger, front, windows and knee airbags were offered as standard.
The MiTo came in three trim levels: Turismo, Lusso and Veloce.
