2005 saw a major redesign for the Cadillac DeVille, which became known as the DTS (DeVille Touring Sedan).
Apart from the name change, the car suffered a deep restyle following the direction imposed by the CTS and the STS. One major feature change from the DeVille to the DTS was the elimination of the standard 6-passenger seating configuration for non-limousine models. The DTS also incorporated the updated GM G-platform and was powered by the 32v Northstar V8 engine. Standard features included multiple airbags, bi-xenon headlights, leather upholstery, and power seats.
