The Omega caravan can be best described as a spacious technologically improved vehicle with quite a number of firsts for the time of its release.
For a 1986 car in its class, the Omega line-up seemed rather hi-tech equipped with anti-lock brakes, on-board computer, engine electronics and a self-diagnose system which could be read in any properly equipped service stations. The Caravan was available with a choice of four gasoline engines with capacities ranging from 1.8 to 3.0 Liters and a 2.3 Liter Turbodiesel that could be bought with any of the model’s trims (LS, GL, GLS and CD).
