CADILLAC Allante

The Allante was Cadillac’s try at making another ultra luxury-roadster and it is the moral predecesor of the Cadillac XLR.
This model was sold between 1987 and 1993 and it was designed to compete with the Mercedes SL. The engines and chassis were borrowed from the Cadillac Eldorado even though it shared components from other GM models. Its body was built by Pininfarina and it was nicknamed “The Flying Italian Cadillac” and “the world’s longest assembly line.” The Allante was powered by V8 engines with capacities varying from 4.1 to 4.6L.
