In the past, the name Renegade was used for some special Jeep CJ’s and now it is a range.
It took the base platform from the small vehicle Fiat Panda and implemented the Jeep’s DNA into it.

From front to rear, the Renegade showed the true Jeep design cues. The seven-slots grille was there, so were the round headlights. The front bumper, even if it was made out of plastic, had a true off-road look, especially in the Trailhawk version. It had short overhangs, trapezoidal wheel arches, and simple, clear lines.

Inside, there was enough room for four passengers. The high seating position left enough legroom for the rear passengers. But just remember, since it was based on a small vehicle, it wasn’t too wide. In EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa), the 2014 Jeep Renegade was available in four different trim levels - Sport, Longitude, Limited and Trailhawk - a total of 12 fuel-efficient powertrain combinations and a choice of turbo-diesel and petrol engines available in four-wheel-drive or front-wheel- drive configurations.

The top version, Trailhawk, even had a tuned suspension built for off-road and a transfer case with low-range gear. It could be mated with a 9-speed automatic transmission so the climbing abilities were very good. The 2WD versions, either gasoline or diesel, were very fuel-efficient.
