The Lincoln’s flagship sedan, the MKS was designed to attract the younger generation with lots of technology improvements and a more attractive exterior design.
The appealing sedan was a Ford Taurus underneath and the exterior design was inspired by the 1941 Lincoln Continental, with its attractive and prominent chrome grille.

The MKS came with an unexpected front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive system was also available at extra cost.

At the back, the MKS had vertical led taillights and metallic accents. 18-inch alloy wheels were standard, and 19-inch and 20-inch were optional.

The MKS was driven by a 3.7-liter V6 engine developing 275 hp, a powerplant mated with a 6-speed automatic transmission. A manual gearbox was not available for the model.

The elegance of the exterior matched the styled interior, with leather trim seats and real wood accents. Part of the luxury offered were the rear seats, where passengers could enjoy long trips due to the enormous legroom and headroom.

The roomy sedan could be equipped with a voice activated system for the navigation, a twin panel sunroof, a rear view camera, a premium audio system, rear sensing wipers and adaptive headlights.

Standard, the MKS came with stability and traction control, ABS with brake assist, rear parking sensors and 6 airbags.
