The Maserati Bora is a 2-door coupe designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro, who also worked for Alfa Romeo, Lamborghini, Lancia, Cadillac, Renault, Mazda and Bugatti.
Based on a monocoque steel chassis, the Maserati Bora saw daylight in the summer of 1969 when the Italian car manufacturer started testing the first prototype of the car. In early 1971, the Bora was unveiled to the general public at the Geneva Motor Show, while the first production car arrived during the last months of the same year. Available in a mid-engine configuration, the Bora had a choice of two powerplants, a 4.7 V8 and a 4.9 V8, which produced 310 and 320 horsepower respectively.
