Based on the second-generation MS Almera platform, the Tino was a mildly successful 5-door MPV Nissan made between 2000 - 2006.
Despite its shape, the Tino shared most of its features with the Almera 5-door hatch, including the engine range and some equipment levels. Being an over-all practical everyday ride, the Tino was expected to score highest at EuroNCAP tests but it didn’t due to the lack of driver knee airbags which led to marginal knee protection. However, the Almero Tino did score a fair 4 out 5 stars rating for front passenger occupants, mostly due to excellent side-impact driver protection.
