OPEL Vectra Hatchback 1988 - 1992

Generation Information

Body style: None

Segment: None

The first generation of Vectra was released in 1988 as replacement for the third and last Ascona line-up.
Sporty and spacious, the first Vectra came with a choice of three petrol engines with capacities of 1.6, 1.8 and 2.0 Liter respectively and one normally aspirated 1.7 Liter diesel power plant. The engines, available with various trims, had power outputs ranging from 75 Hp to 115 Hp. The car saw the introduction of a few changes in the early 90’s, mostly triggered by emerging Euro1 fuel regulations. A turbocharged version of the 1.7 Diesel made its way under Vectra’s bonnet while petrol units were upgraded to cleaner ones.
