The second-generation Peugeot 208 was unveiled at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show, showing a radically different exterior and interior design compared to its slightly milder-looking predecessor.
Following a similar design language with the much larger 508, the new 208 aims to reinforce Peugeot’s newly found swag regarding design.

For the first time in the small segment at Peugeot, the car was launched with three different powertrain options - gasoline, diesel or all-electric with the e-208. Based on a brand new architecture called CMP (Common Modular Platform), the new model will share some of its parts with other small Peugeots, including crossovers. Thanks to the new platform, the car is approximately 30 kilograms lighter, has much better aerodynamics, and improved levels of NVH. The new 208 also premieres the latest generation Peugeot i-Cockpit system, which includes a 3D head-up display for the first time. All internal combustion engine are Euro6.d-compliant and are fitted with either a 6-speed manual transmission or one of two automatic gearboxes available, depending on engine (6-speed or 8-speed). On the gasoline side, the 1.2-liter three-cylinder PureTech engine is available with either 75, 100 or 130 horsepower. The diesel 1.5-liter four-cylinder BlueHDI deliver 100 horsepower while the e-208 is powered by an electric motor that outputs 136 bhp and 260 Nm of torque.
