When it comes to MPVs, the French were at the forefront of the segment.
Their expertise was used in the Peugeot 5008 that was launched back in 2008. In 2013 the big, seven-seat vehicle has received a facelift.

The 5008 was built on the EMP2 platform, the same one that was used for the Peugeot 308 or its siblings from the Citroen brand. For the mid-life refresh, the engines were made cleaner since the new, Euro 5b pollution norms were enforced in Europe since January 2013.

The key modifications to the 2013 models were noticed on the outside where a new grille and headlights with LED DRL were installed. But inside there were more important changes.

For the driver there was a head-up display available, with a small transparent screen in front of the driver seat on which various data were displayed, the most important being the speed. Since the vehicle was over 5.5-meter long (217.7”), the manufacturer installed intelligent parking sensors front and rear, which were able to measure a parking spot and show on the infotainment screen if there was enough room for parking.

From the seven seats, the last row was suitable for passengers shorter than the average European height. The standard transmission was with 5 or six gears, depending on the engine. A 6-speed automatic (robotized, single-clutch) was available as an option for selected engine versions.
