The xD is a compact hatchback from Toyota’s youth-oriented division for the North American market, called Scion.
It was first presented at the 2007 Chicago Auto Show and arrived on the North American market only a few month afterwards. The Scion xD is marketed by Toyota as the Urban Cruiser for the European market. Scion’s xD strong points are its spacious interior, unconventional design inside-out, efficient small displacement engine, loads of standard equipment and an attractive price tag. The 1.8L straight four petrol engine produces 128 hp and returns 30 mpg.
