Although it was marketed as Suzuki Verona, the car is actually a rebadged version of Daewoo Magnus V200, being exclusively addressed to the North American and Canadian markets.
The design of the car was made by Giorgetto Giugiaro, a famous Italian car designer who also worked for Ferrari, Lamborghini, Cadillac and many others. Due to the fact that Daewoo stopped exporting its cars into the United States in 2002, Suzuki’s rebadged Magnus was supposed to attract a large number of consumers. However, the Japanese market abandoned the Verona in 2006 due to very low sales.
