The Toyota Auris is a compact car introduced by the Japanese automaker in 2007, being the replacement of Toyota Corolla hatchback.
But what’s more important is that Toyota was forced to postpone the launch of the car because Honda, introduced the Civic just before the release of the Auris. Although it is a 2007 model, the Auris doesn’t have too many advanced features beside the ones already existent on the Corolla. Power was provided by a range of gasoline and diesel engines of capacities between 1.3 and 2.2 liters. The Auris had multiple rivals in its class, including the Renault Megane, Volkswagen Golf, Ford Focus and Peugeot 307.
