Despite being presented at the 2003 Geneva Motor Show, the Alfa Romeo GT was first available for the overall public starting January 2004.
Based on Alfa’s mid-size platform, this new sports car coupe was designed by Gruppo Bertone and very much resembles the old Sprint’s exterior lines. Less sportive than the new Brera, this luxurious Grand Tourer featured a more stylish look and quickly became a competitor on the mid-sized sports coupé sector. GT also benefited from a series of active safety features, including a standard anti-lock braking system with electronic brakeforce distribution.
