BRISTOL 404 Coupe
1953
1955
Bristol introduced the new Type 404 in 1953, debuting a fixed head coupe bodywork on the company’s first ever production series sports car.
Also known as the ‘Businessman’s Express’, this car featured a shorter chassis as compared to the 403 model, smaller cabin, redesigned front end and new air scoops on the hood to improve engine cooling. Also new were the front wing stowage of the spare wheel and a dual braking system. The Bristol 404 became true inspiration for the company’s first 4-door saloon, the Type 405, and was discontinued in 1955.
