The Lexus IS C debuted on October 2, 2008 at the Paris Auto Show as the convertible version for the IS model, which for four years had only one body style.
The premium coupe-cabriolet features a three-piece aluminum hardtop which retracts in 20 seconds and has a drag coefficient of just 0.29. The Lexus IS C gets powered by two petrol engines from the sedan range, the 2.5- and the 3.5-liter. The car does posses an appealing design, but the fact that it’s competing in the premium coupe-cabriolet class with a 4-year-old look, might prove imprudent of the Japanese car maker.
