A light pick-up truck designed for the Brazilian market, the Peugeot Hoggar was designed to match the local clientele’s expectations.
A first for Peugeot, the Hoggar used a combined platform, based on the one of the Brazilian Peugeot 207 and the Peugeot Partner, perfectly blending the marque’s knowledge of utility vehicles.

The Hoggar had a load capacity of 742 kg and a bed volume of 1,151 liters, thus it was suitable for smaller businesses. For items that were longer than the trailer, the Hoggar featured a detachable tailgate that could hold up to 300 kg.

The Brazilian Hoggar was available in three trim levels and came with a choice of two engines, a 1.4-liter with 82 hp and a 1.6-liter unit that developed 113 hp.

With the entry level Hoggar, the customers got a 5-speed manual transmission14-inch steel alloys, fog lights built into the rear lights, smart wipers and timer linked on the vehicle’s speed, a gear knob with aluminum details and a front bumper in body color.

Stepping up to the XR, the Hoggar featured a black mask at the front, two longitudinal bars all around the cab, a digital clock, front fog lights and hydraulic power steering.

The top-of-the-range was the boldest-looking model, with a metallic grey font grille, refreshed rear wheel arch trims, 15-inch alloys, air-conditioning, front sport seats, at automatic door locking system linked to the vehicle’s speed, an external temperature indicator and others.
