The biggest, most spacios vehicle Subaru ever produced by that time was the Subaru Ascent, an ideal family SUV.
Why ideal? Because it could accommodate up to 7 passengers and the driver, it was brought up to date with the latest technologies and did not compromise agility.
The Ascent had a nice, simple exterior design, with a bold grille and stylish alloy wheels, but that was the least important part of it. The towing capacity was up to 2268 kg and cargo space up to 2.0558 cm3.
Looking at the roof of the Ascent, we could notice the standard roofrails mounted, helpful with cargo and other equipment.
Subaru designed the Ascent to have real SUV capabilities, thus a 8.7 inches of ground clearance was enough for a bit of mud, along with its all-wheel-drive and the hill descent control system.
Inside the Ascent’s cabin, the users benefited of comfort and space, lots of grab handles and levers for easy access to the 3rd row. The rear seats passengers had separate climate control buttons, with overhead vents for everyone. And… does 19 cup and bottle holders sound enough?
Durable high quality materials were used inside, as well as comfortable heated and ventilated seats.
The Ascent met the technological demands by having AppleCar Play and Android auto, as well as 8 usb ports and wi-fi connectivity. And the music inside the Ascent didn’t sound bad at all with the 14-speakers Harman Kardon audio system.
It seems that safety was a top priority when Subaru designed the vehicle, as it was equipped with several very helpful systems: safety automatic collision notification, stolen vehicle recovery, adaptive cruise control, blind spot detection, rear cross traffic alert, smart rear view mirror that offered a clear view of what could be behind, even if the view is blocked. And i’m sure i haven’t mentioned them all.
Worth mentioning, quietness defined the interior of the Ascent.
