BMW 3200 Coupe CS
1962
1965
The BMW 3200 CS Coupe was developed by the German manufacturer in joint venture with Italian company Gruppo Bertone and was officially launched at the 1961 Frankfurt Motor Show.
Full production on this model began in 1962 and ended three years later. Continuing the tradition of the previous BMW 503, the 3200 CS Coupe model was fitted with a powerful 160 hp 3.2-liter V8 engine and a 4-speed manual transmission. While being the last model to feature a V8 engine (until the early ’90s), the 3200 CS Coupe was also the first BMW to benefit from front disc brakes. Production of this model was ceased in 1965 to make room for the brand new BMW 2000 CS.
