The second-generation Fiat Palio was launched in November 2011 in Brazil, after being revealed at a Fiat dealers meeting in Greece.
Manufactured at the same Betim assembly plant in Brazil as the “Novo” Uno, the Palio is being sold with three engines - Fire 1.0 EVO, Fire 1.4 EVO and 1.6 16V E.torQ. The first two are coupled with a five-speed manual gearbox, while the latter can be ordered with a five-speed “Dualogic” semi-automatic transmission. Sold under the “A New Fiat Palio for Every Taste and Every Pocket”, the vehicle was available in three trim levels: Attractive, Essence and Sporting.
