The Spyker C8 range was officially introduced in 2000, all the cars in this series coming as 2-door convertibles and equipped with Audi engines.
There were multiple versions of the C8 model, as it follows: C8 Spyder, C8 Spyder T, C8 Spyder SWB, C8 Laviolette, C8 Double 12S, C8 Double 12R, C8 Spyder GT2-R and C12 LaTurbe. The C8 Double 12 S is the street version of the C8 Double 12 R which was especially manufactured by the Dutch company for the 24 hours of Le Mans race. The 12 S had an engine able to develop 600 horsepower, which means that it could reach a top speed of about 300 km/h.
