FERRARI 328 GTB/GTS 328 GTS 1985 1989
1985 1989

The Ferrari 328 GTB and GTS were the updated successors of the 308 models, bringing more style, power and better handling to the already awesome package.
The GTS stands for Gran Touring Spyder and was offered as a targa-top model.

Visually, the 328’s side profile has been toned down a bit, getting a reshaped nose, with a larger lower grille guarded by the driving lights on each side. Also the vents behind the pop-up headlights have been deleted, the rear got revised, the bumpers got painted in the car’s body color and the flat-faced 5-spoke rims got dished a bit.

Power came from a larger 3.2-liter V8 engine bolted to a 5-speed manual gearbox mounted right under it next to the engine’s oil sump. The underpinnings were pretty much the same, but since the car was available with ABS as an optional, engineers had to change the suspension a bit to provide negative offset. Disc brakes and independent suspension was provided as standard along with front and rear anti roll bars.

The interior got restyled too, with new designs for the seat panel upholstery and stitching, revised door panels and pulls, together with more modern switchgear, which complemented the external updating details. Optionals included air conditioning, leather dashboard and headliner and a rear aerofoil.
