When you are undecided if you want a sporty wagon or a sedan, you can always choose a fastback-like sedan as the Audi S7.
The frame-less side-windows, the sleek sloped back and the sporty style of this body has attracted a lot of fans. It has enough room inside for five people, a big trunk and a mean aggressive look. Compared with the S6 or S6 Avant, the S7 Sportback is lowered with 10 mm (0.39 in) compared with the A7 Sportback which already sits lower than the regular A6.

Even though there is enough room for five adults, S7 has the rear bench arranged as a two-seater with a center console where nobody can sit on.

The center console for the driver hosts the gear-lever, which looks like a throttle from a speed-boat. All in all, the 2019 Audi S7 Sportback is a fast car with a proper fast look compared with its siblings the S6 and S6 Avant, which are better for those who wants to go unnoticed.

For the U.S. market, the 2019 Audi S7 is fitted with a gasoline TFSI engine V6. Its 2.9-liter mill makes due with an electric supercharger and a turbocharger, which push the power bar up to 450 HP and 600 Nm (442.5 lb-ft) of torque. The arrangement is also aided by a 48-Volt architecture.

When Audi makes an S version for a model in its lineup, its engineers do all that they can to deliver a very good balance between sportiness and comfort, and the S7 is no exception.
The frameless doors of the A7 and the sloped roof made the A7 Sportback look like a coupe, and in the Audi philosophy there is no reason to build a coupe if you don’t put a powerful engine under the hood. That’s what they did with the good-looking A7 when it became an S7.

The sleek lines of the vehicle form an aerodynamic shape, uninterrupted from hood to the taillights. On the tailgate, there is a thin line where the rear spoiler is hidden flush to the trunk lid. As usual for any S vehicle, the outside mirrors and the front grille are silver, regardless of the color of the car.

Inside the S7 there are four seats available and those for the front passengers are bucket seats signed by Recaro. In the rear, the middle seat has been removed for the benefit of the other two passengers who can comfortably seat there.

From the technical point of view, the engine is the same as in the Bentley Continental GT V8. It has the twin turbochargers between the engine banks to cut the turbo-lag. The transmission is a 7-speed dual-clutch system and it sends the power to all four wheels. For the suspension, an optional air system is available.

At the 2011 Frankfurt Auto Show, Audi presented the Audi S7.
This high performance version of the A7 features a 4.0 biturbo TFSI engine of 420 PS (309 kW; 414 bhp) and is offered only with the quattro four wheel drive system. Because of the 7 speed S Tronic gearbox, the maximum torque has been limited to 550 N·m (410 ft·lbf). The Audi S7 can do a 0-100 km/h (62 mph) acceleration in 4.9 seconds.
A number of technologies contribute to this top result, including the recuperation and start-stop systems as well as the new “cylinder on demand” cylinder management system. When the V8 deactivates four cylinders under part load, the Active Noise Cancellation system (ANC) is activated. Four microphones integrated into the headlining record the noise in the cabin, which is then analyzed by a computer. If the computer detects intrusive sound elements, it broadcasts an antiphase sound through the speakers of the sound system. This sound combines with the intrusive sound and largely cancels it out.
