Scion expanded its range with their first sedan in 2015 by adding the all-new iA.
The new model is a compact sedan based on the Mazda 2 and some other key ingredients like a high-strength body structure, a quick revving 1.5-liter engine, good MPG and a dash of sportiness.

From some angles, the front end kind of looks like an angry fish due to the combination of Mazda headlights and huge Scion trapezoidal grille. In the overall picture it looks quite good thanks to sleek body lines and a coupe-shaped greenhouse over the top.

Like it or not, the interior is 90 percent Mazda2, using the same dashboard with that floating infotainment screen, the same instrument cluster, knobs, switches and features. One thing to notice is the standard Low-Speed Pre-collision safety system and the 7-inch voice activated multi-media system.

Apart from a rigid body, maneuverability is obtained through a MacPherson strut front suspension and a torsion beam rear one, tuned for both sportiness and a comfortable ride. A rigid steering mount helps with the road feel.
