Having a wagon-version is a must in the compact class category in Europe.
This is why the Corolla is offered also in this shape and adds more utility to a car that’s now addressed to the younger generation.

The frontal fascia is the same as the one found on the rest of the Corolla family. But from the B-pillar it is a completely different car than the rest of the range. Having the roof lowered by 25 mm (0.4 in) and a bigger length means that the new Touring Sports looks sportier than before. Even though it is longer with 55 mm (2.1 in) than the generation it replaces, the overhangs are shorter. The increase can be found in the wheelbase, giving more legroom to the occupants of the rear seats and more trunk space. The wheelbase is 2.7m (106.3 in) long, which is already in the medium-size segment territory.

The rear screen and the tailgate are raked with 12 more degrees, for a sportier look. It doesn’t look like a fastback, though. But the real, big, advantage is that the tailgate opens lower and the loading sill was also lowered compared to the previous version.

The engine choices for Touring Sports are a 1.2-liter turbo, a 1.8-liter hybrid, and a 2.0-liter hybrid.
