While most car producers add bigger wheels, a sportier interior and a more aggressive design for the sporty versions of their already released models, Peugeot did it differently.
The big difference was the engine’s power, the 1.6-liter power plant developing 270 hp. It was the most powerful 1.6-liter engine in the world at that time. The power output was similar to the A45 AMG.

The engine was mated to a 6-speed automatic or manual transmission.

The sports coupe had a top speed of 250 kph and was able to reach 100 kph in 6 seconds.

The exterior design was very flowy, with beautiful curves, and users could choose between black, red, grey or white exterior paint colors.

The 19-inch alloys, new huge brakes and callipers completed the superb design.

At the back, a rear fixed spoiler was designed to increase downforce.

Suprisingly for a sports coupe, opening the trunk lid would reveal a huge load area, a good match for a vacation in 2.

Inside the RCZ S’ cabin the sporty feeling was all around with the new sport seats, the leather steering wheel and door trims, as well as the red stitchings on the dash and the aluminum gear knob.
